A fun-filled Northern Michigan Wedding Weekend

This summer Northern Michigan Cherry Basket Farm wedding was one for the books. Sarah and Lio kicked off their wedding weekend at Shady Lane Cellars with a laid back cocktail style welcome dinner. The evening was filled with wood fired pizza, local Michigan wine and lots of laughs. It was the perfect way to start their wedding weekend.

Sarah and Lio chose a solid vendor team so I knew their wedding day was going to be fun and smooth. One of my favorite things about the couple is that their ultimate goal for their wedding was to really enjoy their family and friends. In order to that they chose to have no wedding party and to do a first look and read private vows to each other. This allowed for them to really immerse themselves into their day.

Cherry Basket Farm offers so much to couples as far as options for ceremony, cocktail hour, photo locations and just absolutely beautiful barn and historical structures. Not to mention the owners, Alena and Andrew are absolute gems of people.

Their ceremony was held amongst the trees and their guests enjoyed cocktail hour between two location options. One, the outside courtyard area and two, inside the historic barn which was decorated with beautiful furniture for guests to sit and enjoy each others company.

Guests were ushered to the reception tent via the lower barn and were handed champagne from an amazing champagne wall that was custom made. The reception was held under a large tent with long tables so everyone could have great conversation. Stunning floral arrangements adorned each table along with beautiful dinnerware. To complete the beautiful tent look greenery was hung from the ceiling.

It was such a stunning day to document and I feel very lucky I was able to be a part of it. Sarah and Lio, thank you!
