Maple Bay Family Session

This Michigan family beach photo session with Morgan and Roberts felt like coming full circle. Both originally from Michigan but now residing in Colorado, they held a special place in my photography journey. A couple of years back, I had the privilege of capturing their elopement in Florida—a day that coincided with the wonderful news of their pregnancy and the upcoming addition of their baby boy.

With Roberts’ parents living on the Peninsula, the couple made it a point to visit every summer. This year, Morgan approached me with the idea of a family photoshoot, a proposition I eagerly accepted.

We set off for one of my treasured hidden beaches in Traverse City, where we enjoyed a delightful sunset session. Little Bobby reveled in the water and the waves, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect.
