There are so many things I could say about Jim and Lea’s wedding in Harbour Island. They are the kind of people you dream of working with, down to earth, fun and the kind of the people who genuinely appreciate your hard work. When I first started chatting with Lea she explained to me that their goal for their wedding was to have a small intimate wedding with family and very close friends only. They wanted to concentrate on the people there and their love for them as well as their love for each other. Not wanting a traditional wedding, that meant they didn’t want to spend a lot of time doing portraits, they just wanted to focus on the story of the day. This made me so happy!
The Ocean View Club is probably one of the most beautiful wedding venues on Harbour Island. It boasts stunning bohemian beachside bungalows overlooking pink sand beaches. It is no secret that this little slice of heaven is one of my favorite places to photograph. When getting married at OVC you also have access to their private ECO Lodge called the One and Only. This place is unreal. You stay in open air bungalows and are fed from food grown in their organic garden.
The wedding day was so relaxed, as it should be. Jim and Lea spent the morning lounging at the beach together with their family and friends. The weather was amazing with light ocean breezes and blue skies. A short and sweet ceremony turned into a beautiful beachside dinner complete with a bonfire.
As always, I am grateful to be trusted with these special days and to get to experience so much love on a regular basis. Thank you Lea and Jim for bringing me along on your wedding adventure.
